Eligibility
Any voter whose vote is verified and who checked "Enter me in the draw to become an Official Jollof Taster" during voting is entered. Each verified voter receives at most one entry, regardless of how many times they attempted to vote.
Selection
50 tasters and 10 alternates are selected at random from all eligible entries after voting closes. The draw uses a cryptographically random shuffle — no entry is weighted or favoured over another.
Notification
Selected tasters and alternates will be contacted using the email address (and mobile number, if provided) submitted when voting.
Response and alternates
If a selected taster doesn't respond or can't attend, an alternate will be contacted in the order they were drawn, until all taster spots are filled.
Fairness
A vote that's invalidated (for example, due to suspected duplicate or fraudulent voting) is removed from the taster draw pool along with everything else about that vote.
