We collect only what's needed to run the vote fairly and prevent abuse:
- Your first name and email address, to verify one vote per person.
- Your mobile number, only if you choose to provide it.
- Your IP address and browser information, to help detect abuse and duplicate voting.
- Which restaurant you voted for, and whether you opted into the Official Jollof Taster draw.
We use this information to:
- Verify your vote and prevent duplicate or fraudulent voting.
- Select and contact Official Jollof Taster winners, if you opted in.
- Send you festival updates, only if you separately opted into that — voting and the taster draw never require this.
We don't publicly share your name, email, phone number, IP address, or which restaurant you voted for. Vote totals per restaurant stay private until voting closes, and even then, individual voting records are never made public.
Access to voter data is restricted to festival organizers through a password-protected admin area.
